Tube To Work Day 2026! Rentals and Event Info

ByAnders Shenholm

On Friday, June 26th, we’ll have another edition of Boulder’s famous Tube To Work Day! It’s one of our favorite days of the year, as we can get outside and enjoy one of our city’s great traditions. We usually rent out our entire fleet of tubes, PFDs, and helmets to get people out on the water.

Rentals:

  • The best way to secure gear for the event is to reserve. This form will allow you to reserve full packages (tube, PFD, and helmet) or individual PFDs. If you need a different combination of gear than is available on the form, please reserve a package and make a note in the “Special Request” text box to let us know exactly what you need. To pick up reservations, come to our shop on Thursday the 25th (the day before the event) anytime from 10am-6pm. Usually day-before pickup for reservations is 2pm and later, but we’re expanding that window for the event.
  • You can also try to rent on the morning of Tube to Work Day. We will have a limited inventory of tubes, helmets, and PFDs available to rent at Eben G. Fine park (the beginning of the float route).
  • You can return your equipment at Central Park (the bottom of the float route). Come see us at our tent to drop off your gear.

Timeline:

Thursday 6/25

Friday 6/26

  • 7:15am: Arrive at Eben G. Fine Park for check-in. Come see us at our tent for tube, PFD, and/or helmet rentals if you haven’t reserved. We can sell out quickly, so come find us early.
  • 8:15am: The float begins! Wave by wave, tubers begin the descent. Go with the flow, and make some new friends! When you’ve reached the end of the float, event workers will direct you to the take-out point.
  • 8:45-9:45am: Take out of the creek at Broadway, return any rental gear, and party in Central Park! We’ll have a tent set up where you can drop off your rentals, whether you reserved or rented on the day of the event. Enjoy music, food, and drinks as you dry off in the park.

We hope to see you out there! For more event info, check out the official Tube to Work Day page. If you have questions about rentals or the event itself, we’re happy to talk! Call 303-449-7669.
